In 1997 Nokia launched the very successful Snake. Nowadays, mobile games are usually downloaded from an app store as well as from the portals of the mobile operator, but in some cases also from the OEM or the mobile operator when purchased via an infrared connection, Bluetooth or a memory card pre-installed on the handheld devices or with a cable on the handset loaded.
